Hey, the release date for Rock Band 2 is out - December 18, they’ll be shipping the game only, and I haven’t seen the Special Package yet, although Amazon has a link for notification.
I also understand that the whole PS3/XBox 360 list of tunes will be available for the Wii via downloadable content (DLC). More on that as I get it.
After PETA complaints about recipes featured in a Cooking Mama flash game, the Mama has responded:
“I would never put rat in my Ratatouille,” said a feisty Mama while beating some eggs. “Like any accomplished cook, I create my recipes to appeal to a broad range of tastes and preferences. My only goal is to ensure you leave the table well fed.”
You might have seen commercials for Animal Crossing: City Folk showing off the new Wii Speak. So what is the Wii Speak? It’s essentially a USB microphone that connects to your Wii.
A Wii Speak Channel will be launching in December, which will allow you to talk to other Wii Speak users. Your Mii will lip sync to your spoken words. You can also chat with users in Animal Crossing: City Folk and The Conduit.
One complaint circling the Internet about the Wii Speak is its requirement for an unlock code to use. The code is included in the Wii Speak package. What this means is that you won’t be able to resell it or give it to a friend if you don’t like it, since the code will already be used.
The Wii Speak is out now. Will you be getting one?
Have you heard of any of the SKATE IT! games? Skate It! for Wii is out right now, but the trailer below is for the soon-to-be-released Skate It! Hall of Meat - releasing on November 19.

This is the E3 2008 trailer for the Wii Music title - I still stand behind the idea of this game will be fun, regardless of the haters. It’s a game after all, people - it’s meant to be enjoyed!
Everyone knows that Wii Music is coming out soon, right? Pre-order is still going on, with a release date of October 20, 2008. Gametrailers had a ton of videos on Wii Music, most of them in Japanese, which rocks. I’m going to post a few of them over the next few days.
It’s the eternal question: who would win in a fight, pirates or ninjas? This winter, you’ll be able to answer the question yourself with Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball:

Holy Crap, new Guitar Hero World Tour news! We’re going to see a new guitar controller, and unfortunately, a $179.99 price tag. From Nintendic:
Developer Neversoft and publisher Activision will have wanted to keep a few key details about Guitar Hero World Tour secret, at least until next month’s E3, but it now appears that the cat has been let out of the bag - specifically, details about the fancy new guitar peripheral that is planned to ship with the rhythm/music title.
Leaked information on Guitar Hero World Tour claims that the game will cost $179.99 USD when released, bundled with the guitar, drums, and microphone. As for the brand new guitar, it is said to be touch-sensitive, with a ‘Neck Slide’ that opens up the whole neck of the instrument for unbound solos and extra freedom to improvise whilst rockin’ out.
A few of the artists on the GHWT game: Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, System of a Down, Ozzy Osbourne, Interpol, Muse, and “dozens more” promised.
We’ll see Guitar Hero World Tour on October 27 and October 28 in the US and Europe, respectively.
Here’s a list of the week’s releases on the Wii - as always, let us know if you have some insider info or corrections.
