Nintendo Games on Amazon’s Friday Gold Box Deals

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Apparently for the FIRST TIME EVER, Amazon is going to have a bunch of game deals in their Friday Gold Box Deals!  If you haven’t done this or tried it, Gold Box deals are pretty cool – just random deals based on a category or topic, and they’re usually pretty good.  We missed a deal a few months ago on an $800 elliptical trainer for $200 bucks off of the retail price.  I’m sure you can imagine how hard we kicked ourselves.

Here’s how it will work:

  • At 12:01 AM PST the first deal will be the Gold Box Deal of the Day. Its special discounted price will be available all day only on Friday, June 27 (or until Amazon run out.)
  • Starting at 6:00 AM PST, the second deal will be featured as a Lightning Deal. This special price will be available for the following two hours.
  • Each of the seven remaining deals will also be Lightning Deals. Starting every two hours that follow at 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM PST, and 8:00 PM each deal will be available for two hours after it begins.
  • Discounts on each deal will be available only while supplies last.

They mean it too – if it’s gone, it’s gone, and you’ve missed out.

Remember – this starts at MIDNIGHT on Friday, so that means in about eleven hours.  We’re looking forward to seeing what kind of games we’re gonna be able to snag!

Check it out for yourselves!  Amazon Gold Box Deals for Nintendo Games.

Mercury Meltdown RevolutionThrough Saturday, you can buy two Wii games for $30 at BestBuy.com. The games are regularly priced at $19.99, saving you $10. The are eleven titles to choose from, including Mercury Meltdown Revolution, which I enjoy and recommend, especially at this price point.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Pre-Order for $19.82

Friday, January 11th, 2008

Super Smash Bros. BrawlWal-Mart has Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii available for pre-order at $19.82 today. I’ve seen this at $49.99 elsewhere. Grab it while you can.

Update: The deal appears to be dead.

Update #2: As sometimes happens, this deal was too good to be true.  It was a typo on the site, and all orders at this price have been canceled.  Bummer!
