DecaSports Sells 700,000 Units Worldwide

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

Konami’s DecaSports has reported to have sold 700,000 units worldwide, as of August 1, 2008.  From WorthPlaying’s blog:

“Deca Sporta” was first released in March 2008 in Japan, followed with its release in the U.S. in May as Deca Sports. The title was then released in Europe as “Sports Island” in June of this year. As of August 1st, a total of 700,000 units have been shipped, and the game is anticipated to become a title that will be played by Wii owners for years to come.

Amazon reviews are so-so on this game, but we enjoy the mini-games.  We’ll be making our own recommendation in weeks to come.

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games for Wii is apparently a pretty big crowd pleaser, from the 59 reviews that were posted at Amazon. I have a feeling we’ll be picking this up sooner or later and giving an in-depth review.
