This just cracked me up beyond belief - Fish Eyes Wii!
My sister bought me Call of Duty: World at War for Christmas this year, and I just finished playing it all the way through consecutively on two different skill levels. For the record, this is one of the greatest games I have ever played on any format, any platform, and any subject. The movements are beautiful, the weapon choices are vast, and the overall flow of the game is a lot of fun - enough to keep you occupied for several hours at a time.
This last weekend, as an example, I played it for eight solid hours on a Saturday.
Here’s some video of the game - even the video breaks are good! It’s also pretty sweet to be in the “heat of battle” with Kiefer Sutherland yelling orders to you!
Check this out!
Thanks, Gametrailers!
Everyone knows that Wii Music is coming out soon, right? Pre-order is still going on, with a release date of October 20, 2008. Gametrailers had a ton of videos on Wii Music, most of them in Japanese, which rocks. I’m going to post a few of them over the next few days.
Okay - I am not going to say muchy of anything about the link below, except for that you need to click on it, and watch the short video in its entirety. Don’t take your eyes off of the screen!
So, Lego Batman is out. It’s shipping, as of today. Apparently it’s pretty great. Once we obtain Lego Batman, it’s going to go well into a weekend marathon of Lego Indiana Jones, and Lego Star Wars.
I’m curious about what our readers think of the Lego series of games - are these titles games that you enjoy playing in your home, or do you have other opinions of their Lego-ness? If you have an opinion, please post in the comments, as we are thrilled when people post.
For those of you wanting some teaser action for Lego Batman, here’s a video from the awesome folk at Gametrailers.com - they’re giving Lego Batman an 8.7, which is one tenth of a point lower than Lego Indiana Jones’ 8.8 rating. I’m guessing it’s a heck of a lot of fun. There’s also a screenshot gallery at MTV Multiplayer’s post on Lego Batman - check it out!
Youtube user “jbreckman” hacked his Guitar Hero Wii guitar controller with several combinations of playable notes using half and full presses of the whammy bar, the power mode (raising the guitar), and a few others. Check out the video!
Check out some videos from Gametrailer about the newest Guitar Hero release, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.
First, the release trailer:
Then, check out Steven Tyler talking about making the game.
Pardon our absenteeism lately, life and freelance work have kept us away from you, and our beloved Wii.
There’s some buzz lately about new games coming out at E3, and one of them is a Wii-centric version of the old favorite F-ZERO. Nintendic writes:
The F-Zero franchise has never been able to reach the heights of the original Super Nintendo game’s sales despite stellar efforts hitting the Nintendo 64 (F-Zero X), GameCube (the SEGA-developed F-Zero GX) and Game Boy Advance (F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, GP Legend, and the Japan-only Climax). But Nintendo has continued to push the game that pre-dated the WipEout franchise and has out-lasted the Extreme-G series of racers by bringing the SNES and Nintendo 64 games to the Virtual Console over the past year.
Real? Who knows. Hopeful? We are!
(for what it’s worth, Gametrailers.com has some good movie clips of F-ZERO on the Virtual Console. Good times!
Our friends over at Button Mash This have posted some quick videos of a trip to the Nintendo World Store in NYC. As Chelle says, it was “pure fangirl heaven”.
Here at WeKnowWii, we’re into making our Wii gaming experience top-notch by making YOUR Wii gaming experience top-notch. This week, we purchased a Wii Component Video Cable from SuperMediaStore.com. What we should have done was fork out the $39 bucks for one of the Monster Cable Brand component video cables, but we wanted to see what the difference in quality was with the cheap ones.
Well Wii Fans, we were quite disappointed. There are a lot of grounding issues in this component cable. This issue can be fixed with a little solder and some time - unfortunately, time is something we aren’t surplussing in mass supply.
This is, however, good news for our WeKnowWii.com fans - we are giving away this brand new Wii Component Video Cable for FREE! If you comment on our blog, we will enter you in the contest for this cable. Who knows - perhaps it will work perfectly for you! Make sure that you comment before February 8, 2008 by noon. The winner will be contacted via email, and shipping is on us.
