Check out this trailer from Gametrailers.com for the new Quantum of Solace for Wii (and a bunch of other platforms)!
I was browsing around today, and I noticed that Wii Music was out and in full strength. Have you played this? What’s it like? Is it fun? Please post in the comments!
The good folks over at PopSci posted an article about the insides of a Wii console. Check it out, it’s great!

There are a large selection of Wii Weapons for games like Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty 3, the Medal of Honor Series, and others, at Amazon. I’ve listed a few here, hopefully this helps you find something!
Have you seen the trailers for Call of Duty: World at War yet? This is a game that I have to get my hands on, and SOON! Check out this trailer:
Amazon has Call of Duty: World at War right now for $49.99. Let’s hope they don’t run out of stock, as it seems pretty popular for the Christmas season.

Check out the screenshots for Snowboard Riot, which looks like it’s going to be released in Q1 of 2009. I can’t find any trailers yet, but as soon as I do…
It’s ready for pre-order now, with a release date on November 17 (which is in 5 days) - Need for Speed: Undercover is the newest of titles from EA for Wii. Check out this trailer, and go preorder your copy.
Have you taken a look lately as to how many accessories, WIRELESS accessories, are for sale for Wii lately? I just counted on Amazon, and I counted 37, just by searching “wireless.”
Go check out the Wireless selection of controllers, communication devices (headsets), and other stuff.
Oh, holy crap.
I just read an article at IGN about Shaun White’s Snowboarding Road Trip for Wii - and as I am a huge fan of SSX for both PS2 and Wii, you can imagine that I will be dropping hints to my wife and co-editor about a Christmas present…
Check out this trailer:
So with this one, SSX Blur, and We Ski, we’re getting a few more games into our Snowboarding/Skiing fanatics list!
Okay - I am not going to say muchy of anything about the link below, except for that you need to click on it, and watch the short video in its entirety. Don’t take your eyes off of the screen!
I was going to say something absolutely horrendous like “Get Hooked!” but I decided against it. Did I make a good choice? Only time will tell…
ANYWAY…
I just read an article about the game Rapala Fishing Frenzy, from Activision, complete with a crazy fishing pole-wiimote-nunchuk thing that ships with the game:
Wow. THAT is an accessory. Anyone have primary research on how this thing functions, and how strong it is with regards to holding up under virtual fishing stress? At least you don’t have to smell like fishing. Most of my memories of fishing include being exhausted at 5am, being cold, and out of beer.
Also, there is Rapala Tournament Fishing - I’m looking for some trailers for this, I’ll update once I find what I’m looking for. If you’ve played these, let me know what you think. Post in the comments.
Accessories not to forget if you’re into the Wii Fishing:
Wii Fishing Rod, $13.99. Amazon has it down a buck.

Amazon has Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam for $19.69 new, and 10.44 used from its various sellers. The game has decent reviews, and looks pretty fun. If you get it, please post back here and let us know how it is!
Wal-Mart has stand-alone Wii consoles right now - if you’re looking for one, go get it!
The Nintendo Wii Is Now In Stock At RadioShack.com If you’ve been looking for a standalone unit, take advantage of this opportunity quickly!
Toys-R-Us is having a Buy-One-Get-The-Second-50%-Off sale. This includes titles up to twenty bucks, and there’s a list of the titles here.
Go check out their list! Sale ends September 6, and shipping is $4.84.
Dan Rosenberg just posted an article about violence in Wii games, and how there isn’t enough of it to satisfy the “gamer bloodlust” that PS3 and XBox gamers get in their titles.
How do you feel about this? With Nintendo’s advances in inter-personal gaming with titles like Mario Kart and the general idea of shareable Miis, are you missing the absolute gore that you might have had before the Wii? There certainly are some gory games - No More Heroes, for example, and any of the FPS titles like the Medal of Honor series and the Call of Duty games.
Are you missing the gore? Post in the comments.
(the title that I believe spawned Dan’s article is MadWorld - which isn’t being released until March 31, 2009 - but is available for pre-order.)
I just stumbled across a website (thanks to Make Mag) that is a must-see for wiimote modders: Wiimotemods.com. This site is chock full of excellent wiimote LED mods and button backlight mods - a great addition to your regular RSS feeds for Wii.
Check out this article on adding flashing LED’s to your rumbling wiimote. Excellent step-by-step instruction with plenty of images and pointers. Thanks, Wiimote Mods!
Check this out - My Aquarium for Wii is coming, some time in 2008. A simulation game, My Aquarium turns your TV into a virtual aquarium. Those of you with HDTV’s should love this one.
Congratulations to Steve from the comments section - he was randomly chosen as the winner of the 2000 points Wii Points Card. Look for new contests, we have a few coming up!
